Primary Goal of CAOGA is to provide its members with the means “to protect the long term financial security of the member’s family in the event of the death of a key family member.”
CAOGA does this by running the CAOGA Friendly Societies Scheme which pays a small benefit and the Group Life Assurance Plan, which will provide for your family in the event of your untimely death.
Group Life Assurance
The CAOGA, Friendly Societies Scheme has charitable status and is legally constrained in the amount of death benefit that it can pay, approximately €20,000.
It is therefore essential that all officers of the Defence Forces join themselves and their spouses in the Group Life Assurance Plan.
